The Big Beer Week in San Diego
There’s little question that San Diego is a national powerhouse when it comes to craft beer. On Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, the San Diego Brewers Guild kicks off the 10-day beer week celebration of local craft brews with Guild Fest. This year marks the 15th Annual Guild Fest. Even the age of the event shows how deep craft beer roots run in San Diego county.
There will be a host of events throughout the week, including release parties and launches for several brews, beer and food pairing events, and anything else you can imagine at local breweries. For many people, however, the main attraction of San Diego Beer Week is definitely the Guild Fest. This special event showcases numerous local craft breweries in one central location. Tickets are currently still available online by clicking here.
Beer Lovers Will Adore the Libations and Networking at Guild Fest
On Friday, Nov. 3, the VIP Brewer Takeover will offer ticket holders a chance to meet some of San Diego’s brewers while sampling some of the finest and rarest specialty beers. Some of them have been specially brewed for the VIP event. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests at this event will enjoy unlimited samples of incredible beer and unlimited samples of delicious foods from local restaurants. Tickets purchased ahead of time are $75, while those purchased the day of the event will be $100.
On Saturday, the actual Guild Fest takes place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., with VIP ticket holders getting in an hour early. There will be unlimited beer samples from some of San Diego County’s best craft breweries. There will also be food for sale from food trucks and local restaurants, as well as live music. Advance tickets are $45 or $55 for VIP access, which isn’t available the same day. Day-of ticket prices increase to $50. There are also reduced price tickets for designated drivers, which attendees are encouraged to make use of for safety.
Those who are passionate about local craft beers will want to order a two-day pass for just $100. This includes entrance to the VIP Brewer Takeover on Friday night and the actual Guild Festival on Saturday. There’s also the closing Beer Garden event on Nov. 12, which features pairings of local foods and beers, with tickets starting at $85.
