What better way to celebrate the beginning of the week than by going out and dancing or enjoying live music and drinks? Blonde Bar offers a loud, raucous space that usually features live music or DJs. They also celebrate Techno Tuesdays, which is worth a visit.

The Happy Hour menu includes $5 spirits, such as Don Julio Blanco, Johnnie Walker Red and Crown Royal. There are $5 Smirnoff Moloko cocktails, $3 margaritas, $3 Coronas and $5 TJ Mules. Since there’s no kitchen, there are no food specials. Those drink specials will certainly be enough to help you face the rest of the week.

Tuesday: The Regal Beagle

When you need to blow a little steam off after work on Tuesday, The Regal Beagle is the place to be! With a laid back atmosphere and excellent hospitality, it’s the perfect destination for a calm Tuesday.

There are plenty of great beers on tap here, as well as tasty New American food on the menu. Some of their more popular dishes include a Philly Cheesesteak, a quarter pound hot dog, chicken diablo and Moroccan style lamb. They serve a Mexican chipotle vegetarian sausage if your group includes a non-meat eater.

Happy Hour specials vary by day, but Tuesday is also their Happy Day. That means that they offer $1 off of everything on their menu, making it a perfect day to visit.

Wednesday: Shakespeare Pub & Grille

What better way to celebrate the end of hump day and the increasing proximity of the weekend than by grabbing some drinks at a British-style pub?

Shakespeare Pub & Grille is serving up the kind of food you’d expect to find across the pond. Some of the traditional dishes available here include fish and chips, chicken pot pie, curry, beef pasties, steak and kidney pie, shepherd’s pie and bangers and mash.

The Happy Hour specials include a $1 discount on all draft beer pints and bottled beers, $4 house wines and $4.5 well liquor drinks. They also discount some of their popular dishes, like bangers (sausage), chicken lettuce wraps, corned beef tacos and cod’s bollocks (fish balls).

57 Degrees is a wine bar with comfortable seating and pool. They also serve up food to go with their drinks, including oysters on the half shell, ceviche, a cheese and charcuterie plate, stuffed peppers, New England clam chowder, burgers and other sandwiches. Their food, both hot and cold, is designed to go well with great beer or a glass of wine.

The Happy Hour specials at 57 Degrees include $5 draft specials featuring local San Diego beers and select wines by the glass. They have $5 food specials, so be sure to ask your server about your options.

Friday: Fishmonger’s Market & Seafood

Start your weekend off the right way by stopping into Fishmonger’s Market & Seafood for a drink and something to eat after work. They serve all kinds of incredible fish, including crudos, poke, salmon, oysters on the half shell, ceviche and even grilled octopus. They make fish and seafood salads, soups and sandwiches. Entrees include paella, grilled swordfish and seared scallops.

The Happy Hour special at Fishmonger’s is only available at the bar. For two hours daily, except Sunday and Monday, you can enjoy a beer and a dozen oysters for $20. Talk about a tasty and affordable way to start the weekend off!

Located right by the border with Mission Hills, Starlite is an iconic location to kick off your Saturday fun! With modern design that’s as eye-catching as their gastropub-inspired menu is appetizing, the atmosphere here can absolutely set the tone for an incredible Saturday out. The dishes are a combination of classic and comfort, with options like baked macaroni and cheese, jidori chicken, burgers (and veggie burgers), and even grilled octopus.

The Happy Hour specials feature $2 off of specialty cocktails, and $5 well drinks and select draft beers. There are also food discounts, including chickpea battered greens or a mini Caesar salad for only $5.50.

If you’re looking for somewhere laid back to enjoy lunch or dinner on Sunday, Pizza e Birra is your go-to solution. As you might imagine given the name, this eatery specializes in pizza and has more than two-dozen beer options. Most are on tap, but they do have some craft beers in bottles and cans. Their menu boasts some delicious pasta dishes and sandwiches, as well as a Nutella pizza for dessert.

The drink Happy Hour special at Pizza e Birra is a $4 pint of beer. They also have some excellent discounts on food, such as $0.75 Buffalo wings, $9 pizzas, $4 bruschetta or $4 fried goat cheese.
