Uncorked: San Diego Wine Festival
Location: 400 Kettner Boulevard (map) (Marina Park North)
Date and Time: March 31 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Age Restrictions: 21 and over only, no infants or children
Ticket Cost: $60 or $70

If there’s one thing that people in San Diego enjoy as much as locally made craft beer, it’s got to be great Californian wines. On the last Saturday in March, plan on coming out to the Embarcadero Marina Park North to celebrate your love of crushed grapes at the Uncorked: San Diego Wine Festival.

This year will mark the third annual Uncorked festival in San Diego. There will be plenty of wine, of course, as well as local cider, food trucks and entertainment. Proceeds from the Uncorked: San Diego Wine Festival will go to Urban Surf 4 Kids, a local charity that helps orphaned and foster care children enjoy water sports.

Indulge in a VIP Wine Tasting Experience

For those with general admission tickets, doors open at 2 p.m., providing three hours to enjoy over 200 different wines from around the world. Some of the wines you can expect to find here will include Angry Bunch Wines, Run Riot Winery, Oyster Bay Wine, California Wild Ales, Borne of Fire Winery and Intrinsic Wine Company, as well as dozens of others.

General admission tickets to the event only cost $60. However, VIP tickets will only set you back an extra $10. That $70 VIP admission gets you in the door an hour earlier, at 1 p.m., when you can enjoy shorter lines and exclusive wines not available during the general admission festival.

You can purchase tickets online here.

Plenty of Food Options and Fun to Complement the Wine

It’s important to note that tickets do not include the cost of your food, which you can buy from some of the best loved local food trucks. Some of the food trucks you can expect to find at Uncorked include Pierogi Truck, Taco Daddy, Sushi Uno, Monster Crafts, Haad Sai Thai and Broad Street Oysters. There will be a little bit of everything there, ensuring you can find at least one snack that complements your favorite wine.

If you get competitive when you drink, you’re in luck! There will be lawn games where you can play with friends or new acquaintances, as well as a live DJ spinning tunes. You can even enjoy a sip of bubbly at the champagne bar.

While the event will benefit a children’s charity, it is not a kid-friendly event. No children or infants may attend. You’ll also have to leave the fur baby at home, as this is a no dogs event as well.
