I’m sure y’all have heard of the Pacific BeachFest coming soon to San Diego, October 6-7th. It’s going to be two fun loaded days with competition, surf, beach volleyball, shopping, great food, and live music. I know, sounds horrible right? Keep reading for more details on events so you can be extra prepared for what’s to come!

Volleyball Tournament & Surf Contest

Start the day off right…watch people play sports competitively and get your morning tan on. Both events start at 8am sharp and spark competitiveness in even the most chilled out beach goers. Spend time in the sun and your weekend outside.

The surf tournament, Revolt Summer Surf Series, is open to both females and males and to all level surfers. Learn more about the tournament here!

Taco Contest

This year’s 9th annual Pacific BeachFest Taco Contest continues to name new winners as the ultimate fish taco in San diego. Participating members (you) can vote between 6 restaurants and decide who has the number one fish taco. It’s $10 to participate in a taco tasting, tickets include 6 tacos…what a steal! The chefs go into battle early on in the morning for judging to be hosted from 11am – 2pm.

This years competitors include Baja Beach Cafe, PB Shore Club, Sandbar Sports Grill, PB Fish Shop, Cerveza Jack’s and The Local PB. Vote for your favorite spot and get first hand tastes of the best tacos in San Diego

Great Tunes

All day live music will be playing from 11- 7 pm featuring local bands. Different sections of the events will have different bands playing their tune across the main stage, beer stage, and community stage lineup. The music varies between dance music, reggae, DJ’s, rock and & roll and more!

The BeachFest will have its very own beer garden for those who are   21+ featuring 9 of San Diego’s most popular craft beers. Tickets are $5 a beer and can be bought the day of the event, October 7th. Find your favorite craft beer.

Featured this year will be Karl Strauss, Belching Beaver, Amplified Ale Works Iron Fire, Coronado Brewing Co, PB Alehouse, green Flash/Alpine, Mike hess, and Abnormal Beer Co. Come support your favorite local brewery or try new ones! 

SoCal LoCal Shopping

The Merchant sidewalk sale is similar to a farmers market but x10. Here you will find fine crafted artisan goods, local stores with new inventions and starts, and restaurants selling delicious prepared foods. Browse the stores as your eye catches cool colors and your nose drives you to new spices. Vendors open at 11 am and will be around all day for morning, lunch, and evening shopping!
